Pregnancy: Week 19

19 weeks

This week has been a great one! I have felt good overall, my moods have been more level, and my appetite is in full swing! This week John and I pre-registered at the hospital and got everything squared away so when it’s actually time to go to the hospital we don’t have to do all the paperwork that takes forever long. Next week we go back for a hospital tour!

I’ve anxiously been counting down the days until our next appointment, which is tomorrow when we find out the gender! I can’t wait, and I’m not sure I will be able to sleep tonight either! I feel like a child on Christmas Eve!

Increased appetite, really bad constipation and feeling very full even when I’m not eating much at one time, sore hips, and stretching uterus/stomach area. My stomach is deff. growing and I’m looking more and more pregnant each day.

Monday-30 min Spin

Wednesday- Arms

Thursday- 30 min Spin

Friday- Arms

Satuday- Rest

Sunday- Rest

Exercise felt a lot better this week and I had way more motivation and time. I’ve also started watching New Girl on Netflix and love how it makes me laugh and gets me through a quick 25-30 minute workout!

Feeling leveled out and back to normal-feeling GREAT! Really excited to find out the gender tomorrow!

I’m starting to feel the bubble popping/popcorn popping feeling now. I still don’t feel the baby move everyday but I can tell when I feel the baby move now for sure!- It’s such a great feeling, I feel like I could just wait forever to feel a movement.

Gender predictions

I’m going to stick with my gut and say BOY!

Pregnancy: 18 weeks

This week my stomach has grown so much! I feel I’m starting not to recognize my body anymore. Also, I have to say this week I have experienced the most changes to date. I can feel my uterus stretching and my stomach expanding and getting tight, my appetite is beyond crazy, wanting things I never would have touched before, AND my emotions are OUT OF CONTROL! I’ve cried 3 times this week all over dumb things and when I cry I can’t stop! It’s not a few tears, it’s sobbing!

I woke up Saturday morning with such a sore stomach and back. Once I got to work I couldn’t walk without it hurting. I texted a few of my friends that have children and asked them if it was normal and they reassured me that it was which made me feel a bit better.

I also bought a snoogle since I am no longer allowed to sleep on my back starting in a couple weeks. I have to say, I had high hopes for this thing..but I am not a fan! It felt SO uncomfortable! My friend told me to told onto it until my stomach starts getting bigger and I will enjoy it more so I’m taking her advice and hoping it is of better use in the future.

Increased appetite, crazy emotions, sore muscles/achy body, and increased anxiety.

ZIKA: Pregnant and living in Florida

I knew it would eventually happen- I was just waiting for it. I found out toward the end of the week that the Zika virus is being transmitted locally in Florida. I’ve dreaded to hear this news ever since the day I read about the Zika virus and the likelihood of it making it’s way to the United States. I wish I could say I’m not worried about it but I am. I know there isn’t much I can do at this point except to be smart about taking extra precautions. I’ve been really careful about limiting outdoor time as much as possible and I’m trying to stay covered as much as I can since my job requires me to be outside for portions of the day. If anyone has any mosquito repllent clothing recommendations or lives in Florida and you’re pregnant I would love to hear your thoughts.

Monday-30 min Spin

Tuesday- 2 hr. walk

Wednesday- rest

Thursday- Rest

Friday- 30 min Spin

Satuday- Rest

Sunday- 2 hr. walk

Exercise this week was pretty lazy. I had a lot of late events/early meetings this week and honestly sleep was more of a priority than working out. I deff. don’t want to slack but I know getting rest is also really important right now and I want to do what’s best for myself and the baby.

SO emotional! Tears, Tears, and more tears! haha

I’m pretty sure I can feel the baby moving now. If what I am feeling really is the baby it almost feels like something rolling around in jello. I’ve been feeling the baby move a lot over the past couple of days which I love. It’s mainly when I’m laying down on my side or back being still is when I can feel the baby move the most.

Gender predictions

At this point I have no clue. I just want to find out!

Pregnancy: Week 17

week 17

We heard the heartbeat again today! Baby C has a strong heartbeat of 158 bmp! For some reason I always get so nervous leading up to the doctor’s appointment. Guess it’s the mom in me now, but I am so relieved when I hear the heartbeat again knowing that there is another life inside of me. I was surprised to find out that I didn’t gain any weight since the last time I had been to the doctor but they didn’t say anything about it so I’m not too worried. So far I’ve only gained 2 pounds but my stomach has certainly grown! Makes me wonder if I should be eating more? My stomach feels like it’s starting to get full quickly already!

week 17 (2)

My doctor also approved Vega Sport protein powder so I can reach my daily protein goal. Which I am super excited about because this stuff is full of probiotics and is dairy free!

We scheduled our appointment for next month to find out the sex of the baby!  I will be counting down the days until then! I am SO anxiously excited!

Increased appetite, liking sweets a little bit more and more, waking up more during the night and taking longer to fall asleep, and VERY emotional.

Tuesday- Dumbell arm workout (30mins)

Wednesday- 30 min Spin

Thursday- Rest

Friday- Dumbbell arm workout (30 mins)

On Monday nights I usually record the Bachelor and watch it throughout the week in 30 minute  increments while I workout. It makes my workout go by so fast.

Feeling happy that we heard the heartbeat and looking forward to finding out the sex next month.  My emotions seem to be a little more all over the place this week, they’ve gone from sunny skies and rainbows to storm clouds and tornados.

I’m not 100% sure I felt the baby move but on Friday night I was laying on the couch and felt something so different that startled me which made body jerk. At that moment I thought.. maybe that was the baby! So I waited and felt it again! It felt like a mix between something rolling and a spasm. It was so strange but so cool!
